Concept of artwork 設計理念:
"Something out of ceramic" is a collaboration between designers Mélody Schulthess and Stephan Jäger. Their objective was to integrate the material of porcelain into one of its usual environments but create an unusual way of usage and give your daily routines and habits a new twist. Humor, the search for clean and clear shapes and a harmony of form between each object was especially important when creating this tableware, including the goal to invent unexpected reactions when using. The set 8 different kinds of objects each with its unique and unusual way of handling. The difficulties and games that were created force the user to ask her/himself how exactly to interact with the object. The carafe allows the user to fill 3 glasses simultaneously, the glasses though don't stand upright when filled. The bowl is utterly useless to eat a soup even though it seems it was created for that purpose, but for an aperitif the pattern attracts you to the dish. The candleholder has not got one single vertical slot but little bowls to catch the falling wax, to create a permanent attraction on the table and allowing participants at the table to play around just what usually happens all the time.
