Alex Gao is the FDC Director, Secretary-general of the FDC Academic Committee, Contemporary art scholar, and he was also the Honorary Director of Today Art Museum. Graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts as an undergraduate and obtained a Master degree in the same university. PhD research visiting scholar in the University of Arts London. Postdoctoral researcher at Peking University.

Alex Gao is the FDC Director, Secretary-general of the FDC Academic Committee, Contemporary art scholar, and he was also the Honorary Director of Today Art Museum. Graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts as an undergraduate and obtained a Master degree in the same university. PhD research visiting scholar in the University of Arts London. Postdoctoral researcher at Peking University.
Alex has planned and carried out hundreds of Chinese and international contemporary art exhibitions. He has led the museum to win 4 major prizes issued by Chinese Ministry of Culture from 2014 to 2017. Alex has worked as IMI deputy manager at Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, and Alex was Chief of Greater China Region at China Friendly. He was invited to give a speech by Harvard University in 2015, and he was invited to give a speech by Yale University in 2018. He was co-chair of Shape China: 2015 Davos Global Shapers at World Economic Forum, and then awarded Art Messenger of Shape China: Global Shapers Forum. Besides, Alex was awarded the Beijing May Fourth Medal. In 2017, Alex was given the prize of "the four 'first batch'" talents and “Role Model in Beijing.”

現任北京師範大學未来設計創新主任，當代藝術學者，曾任今日美術館榮譽館長，先後就讀於中央美術學院，倫敦藝術大學，獲得本科至博士學位，北京大學博士後。擔任百餘場國內外當代藝術展覽的策劃與執行，帶領團隊2014-2017年先後四次獲文化部表彰。曾任第29屆奧林匹克運動會組委委員會文化部景觀副經理，“友好中國”國際協會副理事長，大中華區理事兼負責人，2015年受美國哈佛大學邀請，2018年受耶魯大學邀請赴美演講。2015年達沃斯經濟論壇“全球傑出青年”聯席主席，獲2015年“全球傑出青年-藝術使者”稱號。2015年“北京五四獎章”獲得者。2017年北京四個一批人才，“北京學習榜樣”等榮譽稱號。
