Alex Gao is the director of Today Art Museum, he has been the curator and executor of hundreds of contemporary art exhibitions domestic and international, including the Deputy Manager of Ministry of Culture of the 29th Beijing Olympic Committee.

Contemporary art scholar, Director of Today Art Museum. Graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts as an undergraduate and obtained a Master degree in the same university. PhD research visiting scholar in the University of Arts London. Postdoctoral researcher at Peking University.
Alex has planned and carried out hundreds of Chinese and international contemporary art exhibitions. He has led the museum to win 4 major prizes issued by Chinese Ministry of Culture from 2014 to 2017. Alex has worked as IMI deputy manager at Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, and Alex was Chief of Greater China Region at China Friendly. He was invited to give a speech by Harvard University in 2015, and he was invited to give a speech by Yale University in 2018. He was co-chair of Shape China: 2015 Davos Global Shapers at World Economic Forum, and then awarded Art Messenger of Shape China: Global Shapers Forum. Besides, Alex was awarded the Beijing May Fourth Medal. In 2017, Alex was given the prize of "the four 'first batch'" talents and “Role Model in Beijing”.
